  • amnionic cavity folds and wraps around yolk sac
  • yolk sac grow into digestive track

  • digestive tract surrounded by brown, endoderm
  • red outside endoderm, mesoderm, CT/muscles

Mesentery

  • red line mesentery
  • small intestine completely wrapped in mesentery

  • comes from mesoderm

  • dorsal mesentery coming off back
  • wall ends up covering front

  • all that's left is falciform ligament, and lesser omentum between liver and stomach

  • falciform outside liver and connects to wall

Foregut

  • if septum posteriorly, cut off esophagus

  • only intestine: simple

Gastroschisis

  • bowel damaged

Malrotation

  • cecum stretches peritoneum and create s Ladd bands

  • left sided colon. Small intestine on right side. Large intestine on left side

Meckel

  • cyst: vitelline duct replaced by fibrous tissue with cyst
  • sinus: fibrous tissue connected to cavity behind umbilicus

Duodenal Atresia

  • swelling of stomach and swelling of duodenum

Jejunal-ileal Atresia

  • blind pouch and apple peeling distal

Pyloric Stenosis

  • babies
  • not green

Spleen

  • blood supply from foregut. But arise from mesoderm
