- fluid reach mouth: lower Na/Cl, higher K/HCO3 compared to plasma
- higher flow rate, more metabolism in glandular cells, more CO2, more bicarb
- gastrin, secretin, CCK no effect
- parasympathetic activated, M1, M3
Stones, inflammation
- risks: anything decrease flow
Salivary Tumors
Pleomorphic
- left, nuclei tightly packed, glandular
- right, stromal
Warthin's
Muco
- child with lymphoma with radiation
- mucous cells and epidermal cells (squamous)
- no classic histology
