- pancreatitis can leads to thrombosis that obstructs splenic vein (pancreas next to splenic vein)
- result: dilate blood vessels that connect left gastric and splenic
- upper GI bleed
Pancreatic Cancer
- obstruct flow of bile
- jaundice

- enlarged but not inflammed due to obstruction
