  • Bronchoscopy with lavage can be performed with platelet counts >20 000 per μL p.1
  • TBLB is helpful in lung transplant recipients when rejection is a possibility. p.2
  • No more than 5 mg midazolam should be initially drawn up p.2
  • should only be used when administered by practitioners formally trained in its administration (eg, anaesthetists) p.2
    • don’t use propofol
  • Nebulisation is not recommended as a technique for delivering lidocaine to the airways. p.2
  • 1% lidocaine solution should be used for spray-as-you-go administration. p.2
  • TBLB is recommended for the diagnosis of stage II–IV sarcoidosis. p.2
