lipoid pneumonia is benign mass with low attenuation on CT

Images show nodular opacity containing low attenuation, which measures fat attenuation. Thus, the nodular opacity represents lipoid pneumonia. Lipoid pneumonia is caused by aspiration of mineral oil. The finding does not require additional workup.
