Empiric MRSA coverage may be included in patients with risk factors for MRSA infection (MRSA nasal colonization, recent hospitalization, recent antibiotic use, previous MRSA infection).

• Do not need MRSA coverage for urosepsis or intra abdominal infection
• Need MRSA coverage for line infection, endocarditis, soft tissue, pneumonia
