seronegative spondyloarthropathy
- RA: symmetric MCP, PIP
- OA: not as symmetric, PIP/DIP
- lupus: looks like RA. Look for other sx
ankylosing spondylitis
- back pain stiffness in am
- better with exercises
- worse with rest, waking up middle of night with pain
- sjogren's test? measure range of motion of back that's decreased. Decreased forward flexion. Limited lateral bending
- hla-b27 like ANA screening test
- Diffused idiopathic hyper ostosis
Psoriatic arthritis
- if severe and sudden, check HIV
- can present in DIP
