Diagnosis

  • measures tear production

  • scintigraphy: nucleus tracer and see uptake of tracer by salivary gland

  • can't have just symptoms because elderly can develop symptoms

Treatment

  • high risks of peridontal disease without good flow

Association

  • persists and bigger than in past
  • marginal zone Non-Hodgekin lymphoma

  • women with sjogren gets pregnant: risk of lupus
  • SSA, SSB antibodies greatest risks. Can be abnormal in both sjogren and lupus

  • pacemaker forever
