use appropriate windowing to detect pulmonary embolism PE on CT chest


Appropriate windowing allows you to find subtle small PEs. The main PA should have > 250 HU (e.g. ~600). Level should be 1/2 of PA attenuation (e.g. ~300), and width should be 2x (e.g. ~1200).1
