  • patients usually have non-oliguric AKI
  • contrast may be doesn't have increased attributable risk for AKI1
  • Incidence of dialysis and death is similar between contrast and control group in meta analysis2

  • Contrast AKI happens more often with 2 hits, contrast + one of following
    • nsaids
    • ckd
    • ace/arb
    • diabetes
