CT scan for robotic bronchosocopy

  • The LDCT is usually sufficient. All LDCT and CT Chest WO contrast are supposed to include Ion protocol reformats. I would say all places do this well except sometimes High Point.
  • The slices need to be 1.5 mm or thinner
  • < 30 days is ideal but not required
  • Absolutely need CT < 3 months old. If in between consult your proceduralist
  • More importantly, smaller size and lower-intermediate risk nodules should probably be reimaged (repeat CT or PET) to confirm they are persistent and suspicious. Don’t want to put someone to sleep and never find something that just went away
  • Outside CTs in PACS or CTA chest, or other types of CTs can be problematic. I would consult proceduralist or just order a new scan.
