The QT interval should be measured by measuring the intersection between the descending slope of the T wave and the isoelectric interval (see Figure 2); in this case, the interval is 551 msec. The corrected QT interval (QTc) normalizes the interval to the heart rate, usually using Bazett’s formula: QTc = QT/√RR interval (in seconds). In this case, QTc is 580 msec.1
