Sometimes patients can have normal lung function but have symptoms suspicious for asthma. Withholding inhaler treatment (withhold SABA for >4 hours, twice-daily ICS-LABAs for >24 hours, and once-

daily ICS-LABAs for >36 hours) or repeat PFT during symptoms can help elicit airflow reversibility.
