inhaled TXA may be helpful in nonmassive hemoptysis

Small randomized controlled trial published in 2018 in Chest found TXA can be safely used to control bleeding in patients with nonmassive hemoptysis. Patients with massive hemoptysis (>200cc/24hrs) were excluded. TXA group had shorter hospital stay and faster resolution of hemoptysis compared to inhaled NS. 1
