PAPi is ratio of pulmonary artery pulse pressure to right atrial pressure

pulmonary artery pulse pressure/CVP: marker of how well RV is function. Wider pulse pressure/stroke volume = bigger contractility. Lower CVP = better emptying RV. Less than 0.9 = sick

PAPi is ratio of pulmonary artery pulse pressure (pulmonary artery systolic - pulmonary artery diastolic) to right atrial pressure.1

Right atrial pressure is measure of congestion. PA pulse pressure is measurement of RV stroke volume and afterload.

PAPi=PASPPADPRAPPAPi = \frac{PASP-PADP}{RAP}

Low PAPi is predictor of mortality in right sided heart failure.
