Hamartomas represent up to 10% of larger solid nodules found in the lung. They may grow slowly, contain calcification (at times in a popcorn pattern), and have focal areas of fat visible on CT imaging. Histology is heterogeneous, often showing cartilage and fat in resection specimens (Figure 6). Imaging and pathology in the presented case do not show these features (choice D is incorrect).1
